WHAT IS THE REMEDY PLAN?
Supporting hand for the forgotten Ministry was birthed by Mrs. Mpanju Cissy Namubiru

Supporting hand for the forgotten Ministry was birthed by Mrs. Mpanju Cissy Namubiru (Now living in USA) after going through a trying time when she lost her dear husband; it is mostly the pastors wives back in Uganda her home-country who stood with her all the way until she healed completely. This gave her an opportunity to internalize and know what kind of lives these people live and the Lord placed it upon her heart to find remedy for them. With this burden she came up with a team of like-mind to ride the vision under the core scripture; Proverbs 19:17

(Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done).

This ministry intends to spreads its wings to cover both urban and rural areas. In urban areas, it is to be among the urban poor especially in the slum areas. In these areas the ministry intends to cover mainly, rescue programs to provide the necessities to life (clothings, beddings, shoes, home use utilities) and skilling empowerment activities. In the rural areas, it is basically farming empowerment services, self- help programs, provision of life necessities and other self-esteem programs among the pastors wives. The program also looks at child empowerment programs for the pastors’ wives children in particular.

The categories of beneficiaries also depend at the state at which the intervention is sought, but the following are the major categories of intervention by Supporting Hand for the Forgotten Ministry.

  1. Rescue, when a beneficiary is in a life demeaning situation, these are saved and the intervention is instant. These interventions include but not limited to provision of Food, clothing, shoes, beddings, health needs and child welfare.
  2. Empowerment, this is when the intervention covers life skilling and self-esteem activities. These include trainings, workshops, conferences, craft works training, tailoring skills geared towards creating self-worth of the pastors wives.
  3. Start-up capital, this intervention looks at the empowered lady who now needs capital to start up a life. It includes providing for them Sewing machines for tailoring, weaving machines, hoes to use in gardens and other farming supporting equipmet. While others need a little financial support to start up businesses, joint piggery projects, joint poultry projects, ladies saloons among others.

The above are geared towards improving the lives of the pastor’s wives holistically.
