START-UP CAPITAL
During the different meet-up with pastors’ wives, it was realized that some of them have come up with different small income generating activities.
Some have set up retail shops in towns, canteens at churches, fridges to sale cold drinks, joint farming groups among other self-help projects. The start-up capital objective is therefore to help build on the innovations of these mighty ladies. This intervention looks at the empowered lady who now needs capital to start up a life. It includes providing for them Sewing machines for tailoring, weaving machines, hoes to use in gardens and other farming supporting equipment.
While others need a little financial support to start up businesses, joint piggery projects, joint poultry projects, ladies saloons among others. This is better done when pastors’ wives set up joint groups for easy sharing of innovations & experiences. SHFF plans to raise funds for small scale projects and then connect the ladies to bigger lending financial institutions for bigger scale projects.
